Palestinian medical sources have reported that approximately 35 Palestinians were killed due to continuous Israeli bombing on the Gaza Strip since Friday. The World Food Program also warned of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the sector due to the ongoing war. The casualties include 19 Palestinians who died due to the bombing of 3 houses in Al-Shuja’iya and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods in Gaza City. A drone strike on two homes in Al-Tuffah neighborhood resulted in 9 deaths, with 5 martyrs from Hattaht family and 4 from Al-Jamasi family. The bombings completely destroyed both homes and damaged many nearby residences.
It was also reported that another 5 martyrs fell during a third bombing of a house in Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood. The Israeli military targeted the vicinity of Suq al-Bastat in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood as well as residential buildings in al-Mughraqa, north of al-Nusairat camp, central Gaza Strip.
A Palestinian child died in Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip due to malnutrition and dehydration. The government media office in Gaza denounced Israel’s escalation in what it described as a starvation war in Gaz and North Gaza.
The UN World Food Program warned also that the continuation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip makes it impossible to deliver food aid, expressing concerns that the southern Gaza Strip may soon witness the same catastrophic levels of hunger previously recorded in the northern regions. The Israeli war on Gaza has resulted in over 122,000 Palestinian casualties, mostly children and women, and about 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine endangering the lives of children and the elderly. The Israeli military continues this war, ignoring a Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt the attack on Rafah and take immediate measures to prevent “genocide” and “improve the humanitarian situation” in Gaza.
